Tooth-Colored Dental Fillings
What is a filling?
A dental filling is a restoration used to repair a tooth that has experienced minor to moderate damage. If the damage is not serious enough to require a dental crown, our dentist may recommend a filling to restore the tooth’s health and structure. We offer tooth-colored dental fillings that blend in beautifully with your smile’s natural appearance. Tooth-colored fillings, which are also called white or composite fillings, are made of a material called composite resin. We can match the shade of resin to your natural tooth color for an aesthetic result, and the resin also bonds with your tooth structure for a strong, lasting restoration.
Do I need a filling?
Dr. Dinh may recommend a composite dental filling, if a tooth is damaged by decay or trauma. To restore the tooth, we first remove the decay and thoroughly sanitize the tooth. We then fill the tooth with composite resin, which is applied in layers and shaped to fit the contours of your tooth. Finally, we use a special light to harden the filling. This entire process can be completed in just one comfortable visit to our office.
